You know that. You took the time to sniff and, discovering they didn't smell, grabbed a seat. If they smelled like BO, piss & shit (as, alas, they often do) would you have stayed there? Of course not.<br /><br />The other people just didn't bother to check -- figuring it'd be quicker just to move.<br /><br />I know I myself have taken a seat on the subway without noticing a homeless person.
